By providing and co-financing the infrastructure surrounding Ramstein Air Base, Germany shares responsibility for every action by the U.S. military that violates international law. The military facilities in the region thus also become highly likely targets for destructive countermeasures. According to the Basic Law, only peace may emanate from German soil. That is why we are advocating for the closure of Ramstein Air Base. We call on the government and the Bundestag:

Terminate the 1954 Agreement on the Stationing of Foreign Troops in Germany (which can be terminated with 24 months’ notice) and thereby ensure the closure of Ramstein Air Base and the U.S. war logistics operations throughout Germany.
