Edward Snowden needs asylum in Germany

For 5 years we have been following the revelations of Edward Snowden, a few years ago we have included him in our club as an honorary member. On the night of the 5th to the 6th of June, his revelations took place for the fifth time. This night in Berlin we celebrated a Nerdic Party "Waiting for Eddi" and watched some of his interviews and discussed global surveillance by US intelligence agencies. Because we have been waiting for him in Germany for a long time..
His publications have also benefited Germany, because it became known that the government of Germany, Ms Merkels cell phone itself, the German embassies in other countries and the EU Commission in Brussels were wiretapped by the United States.
That's why we have launched a petition to ask the Bundestag to clear the way for asylum for Edward Snowden.
The petition reads:
The association Aktion Freiheit statt Angst e.V. demands asylum in Germany for whistleblower Edward Snowden after 5 years of exile. The German Bundestag may call on the Government to grant Edward Snowden asylum in Germany.
Reason:
It's June in 2013. Through the selfless action of a single brave man, it all became official in one fell swoop: The US is eavesdropping on the world on a grand scale - innocent citizens and friends as well as enemies.
Former intelligence worker Edward Snowden reveals precarious information and counteracts the puzzling rates that have been circulating until then with the concrete fact of worldwide surveillance of all our communications.
The federal government reacted appropriately to this scandal with dismay. Government spokesman Steffen Seibert said: "Listening to friends, that's unacceptable, that's impossible."
How long and why does Edward Snowden have to wait for the possibility of asylum in the Federal Republic of Germany?
We are undoubtedly committed to him in light of his revelations. Through his ethically correct attitude and the associated commitment to the protection of fundamental rights, Edward Snowden inevitably endangered his own safety and was forced to flee from the United States. He opened the eyes of the world and did so by giving up and losing his career, home and family. Incomprehensibly, he has been stuck in Russia for a long five years and still hopes to get asylum in Germany.
At that time, apart from the human, there would have been also an important political reason for allowing Edward Snowden to enter Germany. He would be an important witness infront of the NSA inquiry committee. Various options were examined, as would be the case for a US extradition request for Germany.
According to a report by the Scientific Service of the Bundestag, there is still no reason to fear being extradited to the United States. The German government has lost this opportunity to bring Snowden to Germany, until today.
In times of growing global political instability and a rapid collapse of moral values, people like Edward Snowden still symbolize the last anchor points of a democratic basic idea. With admirable moral courage and personal sacrifice he has defended and upheld the fundamental rights of both his and our country. Specialists are needed in Germany.
We need people like Edward Snowden.

Das wird nach 5 Jahren ja auch Zeit, dass sich in DE mal eine Stimme für ihn einsetzt.

Ja und nein. Klar wird irgendein Land Snowden Asyl geben müssen bevor Ecuador ihm den Asylstatus entzieht und aus der Botschaft in Londen wirft. Sonst sieht es echt übel für ihn aus. Ob Deutschland bei seiner engen Bindung mit der USA dafür besonders geeignet ist, ist freilich fraglich.

alle informationen, die belegen, das es ausnahmslos keine gute idee ist, edward snowden gerade HIER in deutschland, einem DER massgeblichen vasallen der USA, asyl anzubieten, sind mit wenig aufwand recherchierbar und von wachen geistern in die richtige relation setzbar.
ansonsten eine kurzform: snowden ist hier nicht sicher!

Und was bringt es wenn ich mit Fakenamen und Fakeadresse unterschreiben kann? Professionell geht anders. Und nachdenken in Sachen Asyl für Edward in DE wäre wirklich angebracht.

Ich halte Hrn. Snowden für schlau genug aus den angebotenen Möglichkeiten die Beste auszuwählen. Über die Beziehung zwischen Deutschland und den USA wird er sich wohl bewusst sein.
Mit der Petition setzen die UnterzeichnerInnen einmal mehr das Signal, dass er trotz nachgelassenem medialen Interesse vielen Menschen hier auch nach den Jahren nicht egal ist geworden ist.

nicht dein ernst, oder?!
zeichen wären gesetzt worden, wenn sich das mehrheitlich & unnötig dumme volk der westlichen zivilisationen auf die strasse zu hunderttausenden mindestens gewagt hätte, um gegen den missbrauch unserer rechte auf privatsphäre solange zu protestieren, bis diese bis ins mark korrupten vollidioten, die über unsere geschicke entscheiden, von allem, was uns schadet, abstand hätten nehmen müssen.
alles andere ist dieses passiv-weinerliche "betroffen sein", das dem westler wie schleim am leibe klebt und NICHTS ändert!
ich könnte mal wieder hektoliter kotzen auf dieses verschissene solidaritätsgehudel!
